A muscle will not have the same strength throughout its range of movement. Normally it will be stronger through the middle of the movement, therefore learning to become active in the body while it is extended can be a hugely beneficial practice.

This creates long strong muscles. Probably more toned like a gymnast rather than bulky like a bodybuilder.

Power = Force x Distance

Therefore, being able to apply force through the full movement of the muscle translates as Power within the body.

Consciously building this extended strength in our practice means that in day to day life we should normally be able to take on all our challenges with ease.
